Venice Beach League Hosts Community Tournament to Support Peace Over Violence
Venice, CA — On April 25, 2026, Venice Beach League is inviting neighborhood families to come together for a fun and meaningful community tournament in support of Peace Over Violence, a Los Angeles–based nonprofit that helps families and individuals navigate and heal from violence and difficult life circumstances.
The event will bring together local families, friends, and community members for a day of friendly competition, connection, and community spirit on the beach. Proceeds and awareness raised during the tournament will support the important work of Peace Over Violence, which provides advocacy, counseling, and prevention programs for people facing domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of abuse.
“We have three dads/son teams registered so far,” said Dr. Matos, founder of the Venice Beach League. “It’s about bringing families together, strengthening our community, and standing up for peace and support for neighbors going through hard times.”
Families of all skill levels are encouraged to participate. The tournament will emphasize fun, teamwork, and community involvement while helping raise awareness and support for a vital local cause.
Community members interested in playing, volunteering, or supporting the event are encouraged to reach out to the Venice Beach League for more information.
